Choate Construction's 17th annual philanthropic event sets a new fundraising record for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Atlanta, GA (PRUnderground) October 29th, 2026

Choate Construction Company's Cars & 'Q for the Cause raised a record $830,758 for the Georgia Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF), crossing $800,000 for the first time in the event's history. The total beats last year's record of $724,144 and pushes Choate's long-standing mission to drive out cystic fibrosis (CF), a genetic lung disease affecting 40,000 people in the U.S. Since 2009, Cars & 'Q for the Cause has raised more than $6.3 million for CFF.
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, nearly 1,000 attendees gathered in the parking lot of Choate's Sandy Springs headquarters to "fun" raise for CFF. More than 100 prize-winning automobiles lined the lot, from classic sports cars to muscle, exotic and rare models. Guests enjoyed Jim 'N Nick's BBQ, pours from Mutation Brewing, From the Earth Brewing Company, New Realm Brewing Company, and STATS Brewpub, a silent auction, and live music from The Rogue Tones.
"Cars & 'Q started in 2009 as a small group of Choate employees who loved cars. Seeing it cross $800,000 shows how far this community has carried it," said Brian Bollins, Division Manager for Choate Construction in Atlanta. "Every sponsor, donor, vendor, car owner and guest who came out on Saturday had a hand in this number. We couldn't have done it without them or our outstanding crew of volunteers who work tirelessly for this event and those impacted by CF every year."
This year's record was made possible by top sponsors Ameris Bank, OnPace Real Estate Partners, The Choate Foundation, Crown Electric, Willis Towers Watson and Paulson-Cheek Mechanical.
Orkin B. Associates received this year's Warrior Award, presented on show day to a Cars & 'Q sponsor that has shown steadfast dedication to CFF through its sponsorship and support of the show's mission. The award is named in memory of Leann Rittenbaum Ott, a dear friend of Choate and the original inspiration for the company's fight against cystic fibrosis.
"Choate's support for our chapter spans more than three decades, and raising over $800,000 through Cars & 'Q is an extraordinary milestone for the CF community in Georgia," said Vicki Nix, Executive Director, CFF Georgia Chapter. "Breakthrough therapies have raised the median predicted survival age to 65 for people born with CF today, up from 13 when Choate's support began in 1989. But not everyone is eligible for these therapies, and people with CF still face serious complications. Funds raised at Cars & 'Q fuel research in genetic therapies and gene editing as we work toward a cure for every person with CF."
Each year, Choate employee-owners support CFF through internal fundraising, with Cars & 'Q as their signature community event. With more than $9.3 million raised since 1989, Choate remains one of CFF's leading corporate partners nationwide. Visit www.carsnq.com to learn more.
